85 Millimeter, 100 Gramm

What these workers are up to is likely to be a mystery to many travelers, and because no one is allowed to get off the train or take photographs, most of this unusual procedure happens behind closed doors for the passengers: as soon as the workers have left the interior of the carriage, they get to work on the coarse screws, eyelets, and hooks under the carriages, kneeling on the ground with all kinds of tools.

A photographic and literary work about work and life around the train station in Vadul Siret, on the Romanian-Ukrainian border.
