Early Open Fire

Thanks to the Focus Photo Grant from Pro Helvetia, I spent a month in the far north of Alaska with writer Urs Mannhart in autumn 2025. In close collaboration with publisher Energie für alle (Efa), we have produced a publication that—through both photography and literature—explores encounters, landscapes, solitude, happiness, and the experience of photographing in this extraordinary region.
