About
Following a documentary approach, my photographic work unfolds through long-term projects that explore how human presence shapes and inhabits landscapes.
My work is exhibited widely in Switzerland and abroad. Publications in various forms are an important part of my practice; I have produced several magazines, newspapers, and zines, often in collaboration with the writer Urs Mannhart. In 2018, I presented my first monograph, titled Mikhailovna Called.
In parallel, I work on projects for a range of clients, including architects, museums, state organizations, corporations, NGOs, and magazines. Over the years, I have realized numerous commissioned book projects, combining an editorial sensibility with a personal documentary perspective.
I work from my atelier in Bern, where visitors are always welcome. Just send me a note beforehand to make sure I’m there.
